270 REPORTS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE 10TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING ORGANIZED BY INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY
International University (IU) – Ho Chi Minh City National University organized the 10th International Conference on the Development of Biomedical Engineering (BME10) in Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan from July 25 to July 27, 2024.
The BME10 conference provides a unique forum for the international and domestic biomedical engineering community to share valuable experiences together, develop support networks, and strengthen collaboration to improve education, research and start-up in low-income, middle-income countries and advanced countries. The BME conference is held every two years, and this year marks the 10th iteration, marking a memorable and special milestone that highlights Vietnam’s progress in digital and high-tech transformation in the healthcare sector.
Prof. Ratko Magjarevic, President of the International Union for Engineering in Medicine and Biology, delivered the speech.
Developing healthcare towards 5P Medicine within countries belonging to the Ecosystem of low- and middle-income countries was the theme of the BME10 Conference. Reputable authors and scientists from 12 countries, including the US, France, Switzerland, Australia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and others, registered 270 articles for reporting. The conference was highly praised for its professional caliber as well as promoting the image of the school and locality to the international scientific community, contributing to raising the prestige of the Vietnamese Biomedical Engineering industry on the world map.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hiep – Head of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, International University – shared: “The Organizing Committee hopes that the conference will provide a healthy scientific playground for students, trainees, postgraduates, and scientists within the country and abroad, thereby encouraging creativity, learning and development. The BME10 conference hopes to create conditions for domestic and international researchers to discuss, exchange and sign cooperation agreements on teaching and scientific research in the field of Biomedical Engineering. This is also an opportunity for young scientists to publish the latest research results in prestigious journals such as Scopus. Quality reports will be published in the conference proceedings in the “IFMBE Proceedings Series” of the International Federation of Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE) under Scopus and published by Springer Publishing House”. Also according to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hiep, 5P Medicine (including Predictive, Preventive, Personalized, Precise and Participatory) not only helps reshape the way we take care of health but also opens up many new opportunities for research and application of technology in medicine.
Conference delegates are listening to the speakers reporting on the exhibition posters.
The BME10 Conference is honored to have the co-organization of units including the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Thuan, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Nguyen Tat Thanh University and the coordination of the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE).
