MUSIC VIDEO “IU THÌ IU KHÔNG IU THÌ IU” WON THE FIRST PRIZE OF “IU IN MY EYES” COMPETITION
In the morning of September 30th, 2020, International University (VNU-HCM) held the final round and awarding ceremony for “IU in my eyes” competition. The best video clips from the students and alumni of the university have been found after more than 3 months.

The final round was filled with warm and frank sharing from Director Nguyen My Khanh, and Director Nguyen Do Khoa. 11 video clips making to the final round were shown for public comment and grading.
Judges of “IU in my eyes” 2020
Each clip was commented by professional judges to help contestants improve.
Dr. Vo Tuong Huan – Deputy Head of the Office of External and Public Relations – represented the board of organizers to present gifts to judges.
The first prize was given to the music video “IU thì IU không IU thì IU” (If you love, choose IU, if you don’t, choose IU) by Dinh Hoang Tu – K18 Business Administration student. The clip was parodied from “Yêu thì yêu, không yêu thì yêu” by female singer AMEE. In the clip, Tu narrate the story of an IU freshman who passed all the challenges to succeed at the university. Besides inspiring students, the clip was humorous, creative and sucessful in portraiting IU in a lovely way.

Nguyen Nhat Phuong Anh – K18 Business Administration student – owner of the clip with most views, shares, likes said that “choosing IU is the best choice of mine” when she was asked why she participated with the clip “Món ăn ngon nhất IU” (The best dish at IU)
The second prize was given to the touching clip byNguyen Nhat Phuong Anh – K18 Business Administration student. Phuong Anh shared “What is the best dish at IU canteen? It does not matter, as long as you have it with your best friends while sharing things, making jokes, making plans for Friday nights until we are late for class. They are the best moments”. Also at the awarding ceremony, Phuong Anh confessed “choosing IU is the best choice of mine”.

The third prize was given to K15 Business Administration alumni – Nguyen Thanh Hang. She moved around the university to show people a lively study place with interesting stories and loving memories.

The consolation prizes were given to Nguyen Mong My Linh – K19 Industrial Engineering and Management student, and Huynh Vinh Truong – Master of Public Management student. My Linh used her video as a thank to the university “I enjoyed a rich, friendly and energetic learning environment at the university. Thanks to those, my first year was full of beautiful memories and good achievement in study. Also, I would like to express my deep feeling to IEM Art Club. They are not only my companion but also my home which always has full of joy and laughter. I would love to thankthe organizers for this competition, through which, I could speak out my thoughts”. Meanwhile, Huynh Vinh Truong chose to portrait the university through diverse colors. International University is where he is following the Master program and also pursuing his career.

There are still many interesting clips which bring joy and emotions to the viewers and jugdes. Within 3 minutes, each contestant expresses their love and impression for IU and the people of IU through stories, memories with friends, lecturers, activities with clubs, images of classrooms and beautiful corners.
Director Nguyen My Khanh told her story of the early days when she became a director and shared experiences on making short films
After finalizing the results, two directors Nguyen My Khanh and Nguyen Do Khoa spoke to the students and shared essential skills and memories in making movies. They hoped more competitions would be held in the future to help the students improve their taste in art.
Young director Nguyen Do Khoa shared about the short film which helped him won the first prize at Short Film International Festival for student when he was studying.
The competition started from July, 2020 and ended on September 15th, 2020. This is the first time a movie-making competition was held for students and alumni at International University. Besides theprizes for the winners, all contestants who have their clips posted on IU’s Youtube page received royalties as encouragement.
