{"id":4166,"date":"2017-10-02T09:42:11","date_gmt":"2017-10-02T02:42:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jailike.com\/?page_id=4166"},"modified":"2019-05-20T13:58:43","modified_gmt":"2019-05-20T06:58:43","slug":"research","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/jailike.com\/en\/research\/","title":{"rendered":"Introduction to research"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Scientific Research<\/h1>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4164\" src=\"https:\/\/jailike.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/NCKH.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1140\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jailike.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/NCKH.jpg 1140w, https:\/\/jailike.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/NCKH-300x158.jpg 300w, https:\/\/jailike.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/NCKH-768x404.jpg 768w, https:\/\/jailike.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/NCKH-1024x539.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/jailike.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/NCKH-255x134.jpg 255w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1140px) 100vw, 1140px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The International University, VNU-HCM aims to become one of leading research-oriented universities in Vietnam and in ASEAN by 2020, an educational institution establishing reliable cooperation with pretigious educational and R&amp;D organizations in the world, with enterprises, provinces and society in Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p>With the goals above, The University has been promulgating and executing the following policies for encouraging R&amp;D activities of faculty and researchers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attracting talented staff by offering a competitive salary policy and research time for their concentration on research.<\/li>\n<li>Granting awards to high quality R&amp;D accomplishments; for example, awarding an average of 1.500 USD to authors who surpass The University\u2019s requirements in publishing ISI journal articles, the prizes \u201cThe Scientific Research Unit of the Year\u201d and \u201cThe Lecturer of the Year\u201d\u2026.<\/li>\n<li>Attracting a number of projects and R&amp;D grants from national funding bodies, enterprises, provinces, and many other domestic and international organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Providing the staff with some expenses on participating in conferences and workshops.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Since its establishment in 2003, The University has been on the way to reach its missions with R&amp;D achievements as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The University has been creating a positive environment to promote high quality R&amp;D activities; attracting more and more leading professors and PhD holders who have experiences and strong capacity in doing research from prestigious universities in the world. The current percentage of PhD holders is more than 60% out of the total faculty.<\/li>\n<li>The University has invested in constructing and establishing more than 14 modern laboratories for teaching and research in various fields, including Molecular Biology, Protein Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Integrated Circuit Design, Embedded System, Physics, Micro Mechatronics, etc.<\/li>\n<li>The University has formed a number of strong R&amp;D teams to consolidate, promote and diversify various R&amp;D projects. The number of ISI journal articles has been increased in Biotechnology, Mathematics, Physics, Electronic Engineering &amp; Telecommunication, Computer Science &amp; Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial &amp; Systems Engineering, and Civil Engineering. The University has achieved quality R&amp;D performance at an average ratio of 0.8 ISI journal articles for each PhD holder.<\/li>\n<li>The number of R&amp;D projects has significantly increased in terms of grant sizes and scopes. The University has established relationships with 10 provinces to solve their urgent socio-economic and industrial problems; deploy R&amp;D projects and transfer technologies as follows:\n<ul>\n<li>Signed MOA, MOU with 6 provinces.<\/li>\n<li>Approved R&amp;D grants of a total 13 billion VND till the year of 2016, of which 9.5 billion VND granted in 2015.<\/li>\n<li>In particular, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) has been piloted for Ho Chi Minh City on Vo Van Kiet Street and Thu Thiem Tunnel in 2015.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With such R&amp;D accomplishments, The University has proudly received a number of domestic and international awards and prizes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\">Collective Awards on Annual Excellent R&amp;D Publications granted by VNU-HCM.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Individual Awards on Annual Excellent R&amp;D Publications granted by VNU-HCM.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Golden Cup on Science &amp;
