Applicants may apply for<strong> Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED). <\/strong>This program opens for undergraduate\/post graduate candidates.<\/p>\n<p>For full details of the SEED scholarship in the academic year 2023-2024, please visit: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.educanada.ca\/scholarships-bourses\/can\/institutions\/asean-anase.aspx?lang=eng\">https:\/\/www.educanada.ca\/scholarships-bourses\/can\/institutions\/asean-anase.aspx?lang=eng<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lakehead University will nominate 1-2 candidates from IU-VNU to the SEED Committee.<\/li>\n<li>It is possible that a student receives admission for the exchange program at Lakehead University, but is unsuccessful in their SEED scholarship application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Application package<\/strong>:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><u>Required documents for Student Exchange Program in Canada includes<\/u>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Application form (download at https:\/\/cim.jailike.com\/outbound-download\/);<\/li>\n<li>CV in English;<\/li>\n<li>02 Official transcripts in scale 4 and scale 100 (candidates request at the Office of Academic Affairs\/Graduate Affairs);<\/li>\n<li>Scanned copy of Passport information page (valid at least 12 months);<\/li>\n<li>Letter of proof of full-time enrolment from home institution (CIM will support eligible candidates with this document);<\/li>\n<li>Valid proof of English proficiency (IELTS\/TOEFL).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Other required documents for candidates applying for SEED scholarship<\/u>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SEED Application form* (download at <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/15VYpOo0qDabMgGf3OzYWWftD34lNEQIg?usp=share_link\">link<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Letter of recommendation from home institution (maximum one page):\n<ul>\n<li>on official letterhead including IU-VNU logo and information (download at <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/15VYpOo0qDabMgGf3OzYWWftD34lNEQIg?usp=share_link\">link<\/a>);<\/li>\n<li>dated within the last six months;<\/li>\n<li>written and signed by the candidate&#8217;s instructor, or professor at IU-VNU;<\/li>\n<li>explains the nature of study or research to be undertaken in Canada and how the home institution will benefit from this scholarship program;<\/li>\n<li>describe how the SEED scholarship impacts the candidate\u2019s future study and goals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Letter of intent (maximum one page):\n<ul>\n<li>explain the nature of studies or research to be undertaken;<\/li>\n<li>provide rationale for study in Canada and at Lakehead University, program and how the proposed program of study or research will relate to your future career;<\/li>\n<li>explain how undertaking study or research in Canada will empower the student to apply their learning to address the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development;<\/li>\n<li>explain how they intend to use their learning to help combat poverty and narrow the development gap in the ASEAN region in their future career; and<\/li>\n<li>identify the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/sustainabledevelopment\/sustainable-development-goals\/\">Sustainable Development Goal<\/a> (SDG) their proposed study or research in Canada is aligned with and will contribute to.<\/li>\n<li>provide an explanation of how their learning in Canada will help to combat poverty in their home country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>A list of 3-4 Lakehead University courses the applicant is interested in taking.
